Cancer Throws You Into Hell.
This Community Throws You a Lifeline.

Welcome to Ashes of Courage: Your Private, No-Bullshit, Judgment-Free Space for ALL Cancer Warriors, Caregivers & Supporters,
At Every Single Stage.
Whether you’re the warrior staring down a diagnosis, deep in the trenches of treatment, navigating the confusing Aftermath of survivorship, or holding the hand of someone you love through it all... cancer blows up your world.
You're fighting a battle that feels impossible to explain.
You're tired of the polite nods and the "stay positive" bullshit.
You're grappling with a shifting identity, relentless anxiety, or the exhaustion of supporting someone through hell.
And because no one truly gets it unless they’ve been there, you often make the biggest mistake of all... you isolate.
And honestly? Isolating is the worst fucking thing you can do.
You think you’re protecting your loved ones, or saving face, or just don’t want to "burden" anyone with your messy reality. Bullshit. Bottling up that fear, grief, and rage doesn't make you strong; it prolongs your healing, amplifies the anxiety, and steals your joy.
It makes every single step of your cancer journey a million times harder. Your doctor won't tell you this, but authentic connection is a non-negotiable part of true healing and resilience. And honestly, you deserve a place where you can be unfiltered and private.
Imagine a place where you don't have to put on a brave face... a truly private platform where your privacy is protected and your honesty is celebrated.
A space where the "unspoken" is finally spoken. A place where you can unleash your tears, your rage, your fears, and your deepest questions, and be met with understanding, not judgment, because you're connected to others who are navigating the exact same battle.
That place is Ashes of Courage.
This isn't some fluffy, toxic-positivity cancer group. This is your fiercely compassionate, no-bullshit, judgment-free community designed to help you navigate every single part of the cancer experience and beyond.

Maybe You've Believed These Lies About Your Cancer Journey...
You're a warrior. You're tough. But the cancer journey, regardless of where you are in it, often comes with a set of silent, sneaky beliefs that keep you stuck and isolated. Perhaps you've told yourself:
"I have to be strong all the time. I can't show weakness or burden others."
The Truth & Our Answer: There is absolutely no pressure to perform here. This is the place where you can finally drop the mask, be messy, ugly cry, and vent your rawest truth without judgment or fear of "burdening" anyone. We know true strength is found in honesty and vulnerability.
"No one truly understands what I'm going through... not my family, not my friends, maybe not even my doctors."
The Truth & Our Answer: You're right. Many won't. But inside Ashes of Courage, you'll find people who have walked your path. Our dedicated spaces mean you'll connect with warriors (or caregivers) who are living your exact reality, at your exact stage. Finally, a place where you don't need to explain everything.
"I don't want to join another 'support group' if it's just toxic positivity, a constant pity party, or public drama."
The Truth & Our Answer: We call bullshit on that too. Ashes of Courage is a no-bullshit, judgment-free space for real, authentic connection. We honor the messiness, the rage, the fear, and the joy. This is about true, authentic healing, not putting on a show, and it's hosted on a private platform where your sensitive journey is protected.
"I'm worried about my privacy... I don't want my whole journey out there on social media."
The Truth & Our Answer: We hear you loud and clear. That’s why Ashes of Courage is hosted on a completely private platform. Your sensitive journey is protected here. Your posts and discussions are only visible to the members within the community. This is your sacred haven, where your honesty is celebrated, and your privacy is paramount. Our motto after all is: “What’s shared here, stays here.”
Real Warriors.
Real Support.

When you step into Ashes of Courage, you're choosing to transform isolation into:

Meet Ryn Sloane: Your Guide Beyond the Aftermath.
I'm Ryn Sloane, a Certified, Holistic Cancer Recovery Coach and your go-to guide for empowering cancer survivors to trust their bodies, feel whole, and live fully on their terms. My approach combines evidence-based wellness practices and personalized mentorship to create lasting change.
As a breast cancer survivor myself, I know the hardest part often begins after treatment ends… when the appointments stop, the support fades, and everyone expects you to be “fine.” But you’re not fine. You’re forever changed. And no one handed you a roadmap for who you’re supposed to be now. I get it.
My soul-led approach and The Sloane Healing Method™ are the roadmap. I help survivors rebuild self-trust, reclaim their identity, and create a life that actually fits the person they've become.
Say goodbye to unmanaged fear and emotions.
Say goodbye to a disconnected self.
Say goodbye to feeling lost without proper support.
Whether you're feeling stuck, lost, or unsure how to move forward, I create a safe, judgment-free space for you to be real, be seen, and RISE.
Candice Doucette: Cancer Mentor & MBC Warrior
I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer young and got hit with the full emotional aftermath: PTSD, fear of recurrence, all the “what ifs.” After 8 years in remission, I got the news I feared most: Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Prognosis? One year. I was pissed, terrified, and overwhelmed with everything I hadn’t done yet.
But a year later... I was still here. Tumors stable. Barely any side effects. Feeling good. And thinking: WTF? Wasn’t I supposed to be dead? That’s when I realized... surviving was one thing. Learning how to live with MBC was another.
I met Ryn in 2023, two and a half years into my diagnosis, when I was deep in grief, anxiety, and depression. Her program changed everything. I felt safe for the first time, and scanxiety stopped running my life. Beyond that, Ryn and I connected on a soul level, and it wasn’t long before we co-founded Ashes of Courage, a judgment-free space where cancer warriors of all kinds could gather, feel seen, and finally exhale.
Now I’m a proud mentor in her programs and we’ve been kicking ass ever since, creating spaces for healing, community, and reminding cancer warriors that it’s possible to fucking thrive during and after cancer.
